Resume Business CardA resume business card, or networking card, might be helpful when finding a job today. However, your cards need to be used effectively for a successful job campaign. Your business card can complement your marketing efforts.

People use these cards for two reasons. First, they hand them out to people they know who may know someone that might help their job transition.

For example, give a few to your neighbor, Joe. He knows five other transportation managers, and you’d like to work in the transportation field. Joe may be able to pass your card on to those managers, while it might have been difficult for him to pass on your resume for you.

Second, a resume business card is a great help whenever you network. That’s why it is sometimes called a networking card.

When you attend networking meetings, additional training courses, and community events, you are interacting with others. It is natural to exchange contact information, and to follow up with them in some manner. To network effectively, you exchange cards and follow up with that person, offering to help him in some way later.
